Why this exists
Connection advice often begins with a confident verdict and ends with a list of unexplained settings. This project takes a quieter approach: describe the experience, ask a specific question, try a small experiment and keep its limits visible.
The articles are original editorial guides. They do not report a laboratory test, endorse a hosting provider or promise a particular latency. Diagrams are conceptual illustrations. Any hypothetical examples are there to explain a method, not to advertise measured performance.
How to read the notes
Start with the latency budget if the vocabulary is new. Use the testing notebook when comparing two setups, or take the field guide into an ordinary session. Technical references appear with the relevant article; the practical checklists are suggestions to adapt to your own circumstances.
Privacy & publishing
This site has no accounts, advertisements, analytics scripts, embedded media or third-party fonts. Search works locally in your browser. Checklist selections are temporary and are not sent anywhere or persisted by this site.
Your browser still makes normal requests to the web server to load pages and assets. The hosting server may keep ordinary access and error logs. This static site does not control the server’s logging or retention policy, and does not claim that visiting it is anonymous.
A small, accessible publication
Every article is readable without JavaScript. Keyboard navigation, visible focus states, a skip link and a printable worksheet are part of the site. Search and library filters add convenience when JavaScript is available. No subscription is required to read any page.
